It’s painful trying to title and then write a page about yourself. When in doubt, keep it simple. Here’s “about me”:
- I live in Monticello, FL, in “the only Florida county without a single stoplight”. (They’re pretty proud of that here.)
- Married to Cheryl 37 years; father of 4; grandfather of 5 (Yikes! Can great-grandfather be far behind?)
- Drove a bus in Miami & Miami Beach for 16 years.
- Failed many times with many different businesses. Finally had success in 1993.
- Titled & introduced the audiotape Dead Doctors Don’t Lie!, the standard against which all other MLM promotions are measured. Over time, a quarter-BILLION of these tapes were sold. If you got 100 of these audiotapes in the mail, blame me.
- Retired from bus driving in 1994.
- Worked with Michael Dlouhy to write the ebook Success In 10 Steps in 2004.
- Wrote the book Evil Medicine in 2005.
- To be painfully truthful, those close to me say my singing voice isn’t nearly as good as I think it is.
When I was 8 years old, I loved baseball & played in a league. One day, after I’d struck out for about the 34th straight time, I just wanted to die right there on the spot.
In abject misery, I remember saying to myself, “All I want in life is to be really, really, really good at something!”
It took me about 40 years to find the thing, but I did. And along the way, I realized that what I love – just absolutely friggin’ LOVE – about life is that you can get better at something every day.
That is a glorious, glorious thing.
You can improve your knowledge. You can improve your skills. You can just work at it – whatever it is – and get better with more experience. And what could ever be more self-satisfying than getting better?
In early 2007, I ran into Charles Heflin online. After reading some of what Charles wrote about how to use social media to build a following for your business, I realized there was quite a bit I could learn from Charles.
So currently, I write for Charles on his member site. The purpose of Net Traffic Machine is to bring together Charles’ plan for building a business through social networking … to help me get really, really good at it.
If it helps you get really, really good, too, that would be terrific.
I appreciate you!
